Basketball Clinics – 2016
(Choose all Sunday or all Monday Clinics when signing up - NOT BOTH)

Walpole Youth Basketball, in conjunction with both the Walpole Boys’ and Girls’ High School varsity basketball coaches, are once again pleased to be offering five (5) instructional clinics in preparation for the coming 2016-17 basketball season.

This will be the 21st year these clinics will be held and if prior years
are any indication, the limited slots will fill up quickly.

The purpose and focus of these clinics is to further develop the skills necessary to compete at the rec or travel level and ultimately at the interscholastic level.

Each clinic will run for approximately 60 minutes over 5 sessions beginning Sunday, September 18, 2016. This year we are following the same system as last few years to help balance out size of the clinics and add more slots for more players. We are giving the parents the ability (if they sign up early enough) to choose the night that works best for their child.

There will be two nights of clinics, but you must pick one night for all 5 sessions.
For example: If you pick Sunday’s then you are only in Sunday Clinics not Monday.
If you pick the Monday, because it works better for you or it is the only time left when you sign up, then you are in all the Monday Clinics and not Sunday Clinics.

The cost for participating in this year’s clinic is $80.00 per person payable to WYBA. These clinics are available to all male and female players in grades 4-8.
Playing in the WYBA in prior years is not a prerequisite. The Clinics are to be paid for when you register for WYBA for 2016-2017 season.

Registration opens August 1st 2016.

The Girls’ clinics will be held at Elm Street School on Sundays and Johnson Middle School on Mondays
while the Boys’ clinics will be held at Walpole High School on both Sundays and Mondays.

Each clinic will have a maximum of 30 players in attendance. With over 400 players eligible from each side (boys & girls), these 120 slots will fill up quickly. Slots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. This system means there are only 30 slots for each session and they will fill up very quickly but by adding two days we can accommodate more players.

Each day the clinics are set in two sessions (early for younger kids, and later for older kids) they are set for
same times each day:

The 4th and 5th Graders from 4:30pm to 5:30pm Sundays (or 6:30-7:30 on Mondays)
