Each player must be a Walpole Resident
Pick your own team (no coaches)! – Maximum Two ‘A’ Travel Players
Pick your own team, team name and determine who plays and substitutes.
Teams with most team spirit (best uniforms, sportsmanship, enthusiasm) win a prize!
In order to help even the playing field for all the teams, each team can have a maximum of two ‘A’ travel team players from any town.
** All 4th grade travel players in Walpole are considered to be “A” players for this tournament. Therefore, only two 4th grade travel team players per team are allowed. **
Note: A player that is not on an “A” Travel Team could be considered an “A” Player for this tournament. Examples may include, but are not limited to, players on School teams.
Teams may consist of players from different grades but must play in the grade division of the highest grade on the team.
We are looking for volunteers to help make the tournament a success! Volunteers are needed for two-hour shifts to help out with refereeing and scorekeeping.
If you are interested in volunteering, please check back mid-February. A volunteer link will be posted. Any questions contact Beth Schultz at email@example.com
No Spectators! No Parents!
The only adults in the gym during the kids’ tournaments will be volunteers who have signed up before the tournament with the 3v3 volunteer coordinator. We have created this rule so this tournament can be a chance for the kids to play without any of the pressures that they feel when their parents are watching them at a sporting event. Also, because there are four games going on at the same time using the side hoops, there is very little room for spectators in the gym.
50% of the proceeds from this year's tourney will go to the family of Philip Lippolis, a 4th grader at Boyden Elementary School with Leukemia and 50% to WYBA
